My 24 pin doesnt click in...

i have corsair 600W CX PSU
MSI z97 pc mate

my psu's 24 pin doesnt make the click noise and there is always a gap of like 0.5 millimeter on the plastic hinge

what shall i do? shall i try my absolute force or just start the pc anyway?

I would suggest keep pushing. I had similar issues taking it out with the CX 600 M. Obviously don't break your board. Don't remember plugging in being too much hassle though

I m trying my absolute best, i m using a LOT of force and my finger tips are sore now too 🙁

is it safe starting up without it clicking in?

Well mine fell out when I tried that (didn't know it wasn't fully in) so my machine didn't start. Made for scary times. Are you sure you're depressing the clip when you go to push it in and one that may sound dumb, but is it orientated round the right way?
