Question My 4th RAM Slot can't read the ram, but show up in bios as 16gb but only 8gb available as the rest are hardware reserved

can i use slot 1 and 3 instead 2 and 4 since my forth slot can't read the ram stick

you talk about ram slots and forget to mention your board specs.
Anyway this may more or less be ram compatibility. Did you get the same type/brand for both sticks?

Looks like you buy modules sold as Singles. Maybe someone else knows. The combinations you make are not guaranteed to be compatible together.
