[SOLVED] My 5.1 speakers system only plays in stereo

Hi guys.

i recently replaced my mobo (and processor and ram sticks) and now my 5.1 speakers (connected to my computer) is only playing in stereo.
Only the 2 side speakers play while my center, sub and 2 rear speakers do nothing.

When i do a 5.1 test in win10 i hear the proper sounds from the proper speakers, but when playing movies and youtube (even the dolby surround tests) i only hear sound coming from the 2 from\side speakers. not the center nor sub nor rear speakers.

I tried uninstalling the sound driver using device manager. no luck.
I tried reinstalling my realtek driver (R2.82) and no luck either.
I tried changing my smaplerate to 24bit 96000htz. no luck.

Any help?

Difference being you would have had speaker fill or similar set with your previous audio settings because youtube and it's tests (all of them) aren't in true surround sound afaik.

but movies arent in surround either for me. not just YT.
And if YT isnt surround, than how can i test if my surround is working?

Windows and games. Movies ~ only if they have the tracks already, ie dvds. Windows and AAA games properly support surround.
