Hey guys, long time forum browser, first time poster.

I have it rock stable at those settings you see above.

3.8ghz was no boot even at 1.6vcore. =(

heres a shot of 3.7ghz

i can run orthos blend all day using that, but when i tried TAT i blue screen in a few seconds.

All tests conducted in sync mode with my ram running at 5-5-5-15 2.4v
All tests conducted at around 3-4pm on a hot afternoon in so cali.

At night i hover at or just under 30c idle.

Im just not quite sure thats a good or a bad thing.
any tips and advice on anything is appreciated.

intels TAT is a POS, lol, the way i see it is that, if tat is the only program that can reach them temps, then why would you use it to test when nothing else is going to get that hot?

i'm going to say you're fine, but i'd heavily encourage you to run 3 passes of memtest86+ (to ensure memory stability) and do another orthos run with ati tool's "scan for artifacts" feature running in a window beside it, just to make sure tat is crashing from a power related problem

Wow, do you have a game like UT2004 where you can compare frame rates at stock and overclocked?

Also, what kind of speakers are those? Do they sound good?

the speakers are klipsch speakers from their old 2.1 ipod speakers. rigged to my old logitech z-680 setup

i think i can use COH to compare frame rates using their performance test, maybe ill try some others too .

I just finished the install of water cooling on my system yesterday. I got it to 3.74ghz and hit a wall like you did. Nothing I did would make it boot past 3.74 until, this morning, I dropped the multiplier to 8X.

I am now running at 3.8ghz, 58c and have been running orthos for 34 minutes so far. My bios vCore is 1.55 reported as 1.48 in orthos.
For cooling I am using:
Swiftech Apogee GTX cpu block.
Petra's Tech DDC block with Liang pump
Swiftech res.
Black Ice 240 GTX extreme rad.
