My acer aspire wont boot.

hello
i have an acer aspire es1-512.

i have no cd-rom so i could not try to boot from cd nor use the recovery disc.
the computer did not read the usb device. (tried everything)

decided last option was to take out the drive.

i did and i put it in another computer and formatted it from there.

it will now only boot on another laptop and my gaming pc, but not on the acer.
just comes up with this message: no bootable device.

anyone knows why? does aces have some kind of lockdown?

You took out the drive and formatted it which erased it.
There is no surprise that there is nothing for the acer to boot from since the drive is now empty is there?

yeah, sorry for bad english.
then i reinstalled windows 8.1
now it will only boot if in legacy..
