My Acer laptop won't start, stays on this blank black page, please help.

After I press the on button it loads past the Acer boot screen then it just turns into a blank black screen.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up again.
- If it doesn't work, press CTRL+ATL+DEL then select Task Manager then click on New Task, type in explorer.exe and click OK then see if it will load your desktop screen back.
- If it will not work, open Task Manager again then click on Startup tab then disable all the startup items and reboot your laptop.
- Next to try if it will still not work is to load the laptop into Safe Mode, while the laptop is booting up repeatedly press on F8 until it loads Advanced Boot Options then select Safe Mode.
- Once loaded in Safe Mode run System Restore, put it back to an earlier date when the laptop was working properly.

- If System Restore will also not work do connect an external monitor and see if you'll get a display from it.
- If all these will not work you'll need to reinstall Windows as the last option.

Sounds like your Boot Manager may be corrupted. Download and run Recovery Media and choose 'Startup Repair' this should repair whatever is damaged in the Boot Manager and get you back up and running.

If that doesn't work you might want to simply re-format the machine and load on a snapshot tool like Rollback Rx or Comodo Time Machine. It could be that if you've updated or installed something recently it's causing this, so testing with a snapshot tool makes sense.

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.

- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and old the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up again.
- If this will not work proceed with reseating the RAM's, remove them all for couple of seconds then place them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- If the laptop is on but there's still no display on the screen, connect an external monitor on it and see if you'll get any display from it.
- Do also try a different AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it will boot up normally.
- If all these will not work the problem lies in the motherboard and if it's still under the factory warranty do contact the manufacturer for a repair.
