My advent laptop turns on but and shows start up then goes blank , pressing f8 at start up does not work either, can you help

Advent laptop does not load windows , goes black screen after start up, f8 does not work either

Can you access the BIOS and make sure your drives are showing? Any discs in your optical drive (if present) or USB sticks plugged in?

I got it fixed, pressed f5 , then went into something about memory and it done a scan to see if there was any damage to my memory and woke up this morning to see options on how to do a destructive factory reset.
