My Android Phone is Not Compatible to ANYTHING!

Hi.
I have an HTC Desire S. I wanted to install an application but couldn't install it. I was told my device isn't compatible with it. I wanted to root it with ES explorer. The problem is, my device is not compatible with it either. What do I do?
