My AOC monitor keeps saying no signal

I bought a AOC monitor some months back but everytime i turn it on it says no signal. Sometimes it works first time and sometimes it don't, Please can anybody help me with this

sounds like the video controller of the monitor is crapping out so is the monitor still under warranty?
