My ASRock A320M-HDV R4.0 was previously paired with Ryzen 3 2200G and the pair went smoothly. When I saw that the motherboard had a BIOS update that allowed it to support Vermeer processors, I decided to update/upgrade: The BIOS to 7.40 and the processor to R5 5600x.
The pair went smoothly initially; however, on heavier load (Premiere Pro rendering or AAA games), the system abruptly shuts down (not restart but shut down, instantly, no BSOD).
What actually causes this? Some of my friends said that it's due to the motherboard's poor vrm and that I need to upgrade to, say, B550. Is that also true? Thanks.
