my assus n550 wont turn on. BLACKSCREEN

today i headed over to my assus n550 laptop and pressed the power button. the key board lit up as usual but the screen turned on but it was black and stayed that way for the past several minutes i gave up and restarted the laptop but the same thing happened.
can i get help please i need the laptop fixed quick. thank you

Try plugging it into a monitor or tv and see if you get video signal to one of video out ports. If not then your graphics card may be the issue if you do then I would use the second screen if you can to reinstall the graphics driver and built in monitor driver.

i tryed the laptop started up and but when the login screen was supposed to come on i lost signal to the laptop

I had a similar problem with my asus motherboard (desktop). I'm suspecting that your motherboard has failed. Your best bet is to remove the hard drive and extract files/data. Contact Asus support and hope its still under warranty.
