My Asus charger is making a weird noise

So as the title says, I am having a sort of problem with my charger. I've noticed today that if I move the part of the cord that is near the plug, it makes a crackling noise. What does this mean for my charger? Do I need to buy a new one?
EDIT: Now the crackling is coming from the cord that is connected to the transformer itself.

Yes replace it, also try a different outlet, maybe there is an issue with the outlet you are using.
