My Asus laptop just went half white and black what can I do

if you haven't yet, try rebooting.

It sounds like either your monitor is failing, or your graphics processor is failing. hard to say for sure though

I tried rebooting but is still same

it could also just be a fault in the ribbon that connects the bottom half of the laptop to the screen

to check if its the graphics chip connect it to a monitor or tv if the pictures ok there then its not the chip

might have to toggle fn+ another key to display externally usually fn +f4 or f5 but different manufacturers may use a different f key

Does it go half white from the moment you boot up, or only once windows starts to load?
