So I ordered my Asus monitor and it didn't come with the base to stand screw. It was a single screw that was probably almost as important as the monitor it self. Without that screw the monitor would fall over , I felt helpless. I was looking all over the web for solution to where I could order a replacement. I never found a replacement and I wasn't about to waste my time sending the whole monitor back. So what I did was go to the hardware store like Lowes. I ask the guy there if he could help me find a screw that matched the hole. He helped me and we found a perfect match.

So what screw do you need?
- machine screws pan head slotted m6-1.00 x 16
- Washer

How they look:
- Screw http://bit.ly/1LCiCPT
- Washer http://bit.ly/1Ki5H3F
-All together http://bit.ly/1FHOhqW

You need the washer to create more tension so the monitor will fit firm and it wont be wobbly.

Just screw it in and you should be good. Also note that my monitor model is the ASUS VS228 but this still should work for others.

If it doesn't, just bring the stand to the store and ask the persons that work near the screw section for help or any employee will work. But the older the guy is the more likely he will know what he's talking about.
