My Asus shows lights on and fan is running but the screen is black

I got a loner Asus and it showed battery full lights are on and the fan is running the screen came on for a minute now it's black I held down the power button but it won't power off and no screen. Any suggestions?

Take it back to the place that gave it to you as a loaner and get them to give you one that is not damaged. It could be a few things, so it is up to them to fix it.
