Question My battery suddenly stopped charging.

I have a Asus ROG GL551JW-DS71. I opened it up to change the thermal paste on my cpu and gpu, which helped. My pc now runs about ten degrees cooler. In that process; however, something went wrong and the battery will no longer charge. I reconnected the cable to the battery so it will still run off the battery, but it will not charge it. Does anybody have an idea what might be wrong?

Did you check the terminals on the motherboard connection for damage or anything unusual? What about the connector for the battery and its cables? Anything loose or damaged there?
