I have recently changed from AT&T to Comcast. My Belkin F9K1015 range extender still claims to be part of my AT&T network and will not reset to work with my Netgear WNR1000 router . I have tried the reset button on the bottom both with power on and off, as well as the WDS button on top. The extender still claims to be part of the no longer existing network. How do I make it a team player?

I finally figured out how to get it done. Since the documentation for this extender is scant and what little there is is wrong, I have decided to post the solution so technomorons, like myself, will have it easier.

1. With the extender powered up, use a paperclip and push the reset button. The LED will flash blue.Continue to hold the reset button down, until the LED stops flashing and shows a solid blue. This will take 30-45 seconds. This resets the extender to factory specifications, the same as when it was new in the box.
2. Contrary to all of the documentation. DO NOT OPEN A BROWSER. Open your network search screen. In windows 8 and 10, you can access that by clicking on the WIFI icon in the corner of your screen. That is where you will find Belkin.Range. Type in Belkin.setup into the window that opens when you click on belkin.range, select a network. enter the password and you are done.
