I am having a problem with my SSD, HDD, and BIOS. I just built this PC (first one) about two months ago and have little idea of what is going on. I built my PC without my SSD and it was running fine. I just bought the SSD and received it a few days ago and I just got around to plugging it in last night. I first plugged it in and booted the PC, worked fine. Then I read online that I should boot the PC without the HDD so that I can setup Windows on the SSD. So I turned it off, grounded myself undid the case and unplugged the HDD. Booted my PC, and it ran fine. I then forgot that my Windows key expired so I cancelled out of everything then plugged the HDD in again and booted. Ran fine. I read somewhere that in my BIOS I could set the boot drive to be the SSD so I did that. Booted and it sent me to Windows setup (duh, stupid). I turned everything off and went to BIOS to undo the boot settings and my HDD was not to be found (this is when my brain said I did something wrong). I booted and everything worked fine so I just decided to format my SSD, and now I cannot find it in the Disk Management under volume. So now my BIOS does not recognize my HDD and my computer cannot find my SSD. I also replaced the wires on both of them and tried to plug them in, in different places.

HDD = Western Digital Black 2 TB
SSD = Samsung 850 EVO
Mobo = ASUS Maximus VIII Hero

Thank you for the help!
