My BIOS doesnt recognize my hard drive, but I can still browse it

Hello!
I want to ask you how to fix my problem which is the following. My BIOS doesn't recognize, or find, or doesn't even allow me to create a new boot option. My hard drive works for sure because i can browse it using Ubuntu live(try without installing), I can even install an OS(Ubuntu) but i cant reach it by the BIOS and so cant boot my OS from it. I have read lots of posts but non of them solves my issue. Any help will be welcome
And for the protocol i have a laptop Asus k55vm.

You are probably right, but I tried to fix it through the cmd using a windows installation disc with the commands " bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec fixboot" and the two operations were "successful" if this is not everything then i am fooling myself. And what makes me say that bios doesnt recognize it is that i cannot find my hard drive in the bios menu. Do you have any other idea how to fix my mbr, should I try Hiren's boot?
Also is it possible the MBR problem to make the hard drive not visible in the BIOS?

Do you guys remember me? The problem really was overwritten or messed up MBR, so now I am using Linux.
