Hello!
I want to ask you how to fix my problem which is the following. My BIOS doesn't recognize, or find, or doesn't even allow me to create a new boot option. My hard drive works for sure because i can browse it using Ubuntu live(try without installing), I can even install an OS(Ubuntu) but i cant reach it by the BIOS and so cant boot my OS from it. I have read lots of posts but non of them solves my issue. Any help will be welcome :)
And for the protocol i have a laptop Asus k55vm.

You are probably right, but I tried to fix it through the cmd using a windows installation disc with the commands " bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec fixboot" and the two operations were "successful" if this is not everything then i am fooling myself. And what makes me say that bios doesnt recognize it is that i cannot find my hard drive in the bios menu. Do you have any other idea how to fix my mbr, should I try Hiren's boot?
Also is it possible the MBR problem to make the hard drive not visible in the BIOS?
Thanks for the reply :)
