So weirdest thing happened just now. I tried installing the latest BIOS update on this Pre-built PC I got last year in hopes it would fix my hardware issues. I found the latest update on the MSI page (it's a Beta version though), I downloaded it, put it in a flash drive and booted BIOS.
Then I insterted my flash drive and clicked on M-Flash. The system then started taking a really long time to respond. I clicked on the update file and it took almost 2 minutes to respond. Then I got the message asking if I want to read the file, I clicked yes and it just froze for 3-4 minutes and then my PC just shut off and booted BIOS again. Update was not installed, the last version is still from 01/30/2019 but everything seems normal, no damage.

I'm not brave enough to try to install the update again in case the whole thing crashes during the installation due to the lag. Does anyone know what could have caused this attempt to go so bad?

What is the model for your MSI prebuilt system? You're advised to update the BIOS gradually, not jump to the latest version. On that note, what problem are you facing that needed you to look into a BIOS update?
@Lutfij I loooked it up in my msconfig, my MSI motherboard is an A320M pro-m2 v2 (MS-7B84). I downloaded the one on the top of this page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/A320M-PRO-M2-V2

I have an issue with my hardware usage being very low when gaming and I'm getting very big fps dips (20s-30s) in not demanding games like the Sims 4.
My Pre-built has following specs:
16GB RAM
gtx 1060 6gb
Ryzen 5 2600
Win 10

Here is the link to a table that shows my hardware usage over 30 minutes of playing the Sims 4.
