My Book Keeps Disconnecting and Reconnecting

My Book Essential keeps disconnecting and reconnecting on USB 3.0 real fast it shows up at the taskbar but it is quite hard to catch with mouse, and doesn't even response to USB 2.0. I have another 2.5'' WD external hard drive yet it is working without any problem both on 3.0 and 2.0.

OS: Win10
I tried;
- changing power cable
- used another 3.0 usb(shorter) cable from WD
- set the hdd option on power options disabled

You can delete all your USB drivers and then windows should reinstall new ones - which may or may not fix your problem. For me it has fixed a lot.

the problem is that it does not stay connected. I can only hear the windows sound of connecting-disconnecting. it's like non-stop. btw tried uninstalling USB drivers, didn't change anything

If it was moved recently from another PC, it may be because it was encrypted with Windows Bitlocker. Reconnect it to the old PC and run the decryption of the drive
