My BRAND new PC won't boot, I need your help!

I just built a brand new computer and it wont post. It turns on the fans spin, and everything seems to be running fine, but it wont display on my screen and the usb ports don't work on the front or the back. I cannot for the life of me figure this out and hope you can help! If there are any suggestions for me it would really help!

PC SPECS:
i7 8700k
gtx 1080Ti
16gb ram

Please post your full system spec. There's not enough there to work with. Motherboard? PSU? Specs of the memory? Which cooler?

If the USB ports aren't working, it doesn't sound like the system has actually posted.

1. are the fans spinning fast or slow
2. check that everything is plugged in to power, for example the two PCIe 8 pins for the GPU, the 24pin and 8 pin for the motherboard
3. Have you tried pulling the GPU and connecting the monitor to the onboard GPU and see if it POSTS?
4. Verify that RAM is seated properly and try with a single stick
5. verify that you have standoffs in the proper place and there are none on the back of the motherboard possibly shorting it out

Those are what I would check first.
