He has an AMD RYZEN 7 5800X AND THE MOBO IS A ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING BOARD.He wants to use HDMI CABLE FOR THE PHYS X,would that be beter than running a display port without the phys x? thanks in advance.

I am not understanding the question, Does he want to run the 1080ti as a PhysX card separate from his other gpu?
What he said is I gave him a display port cable being it would have more data and be better in my thinking, but he said he cant run his phys-x without HDMI....so what I am asking is just having a display port gonna be better than going to HDMI with phys x...i knida think phys x is obselete...he only has 1 GPU...is phys x for 2 cards in Sli? i dont even know w3hat phys x does exactly ,ill have to look it up. BTW he has a 1080 ti on an AMD RYZEN 7 5800X WITH AN ASUS B550-F ROG STRIX BOARD

PhysX is a Nvidia 3d environment platform that makes things look and act more realistically and is used in some games. Nvidia's gpu's are powerful enough to use for gaming and use PhysX in games when called for at the same time. In Nvidia control panel there is a setting for PhysX to either use Auto selection, Cpu, or Gpu. Auto or Gpu would be the best selection. There is no need to use separate cables for gaming and PhysX. The only difference between Hdmi and Display Port would be the refresh rate.
