Hi there,
I've been looking to buy my first PC for a while now, and I would like some help choosing the components.
Since I'm on a budget I want to skip the graphics card for now, and buy it later when I have some money again. For the processor I was going for the i3 6100, but since kaby lake launched, the i3 7100 would make more sense. I'm using the integrated graphics, so fast ram is helpful, I decided to go for a crucial 8 GB kit 3000 mhz, because it's fast and very cheap at the moment. For fast ram I need a z series Mobo, and in the case of Kaby lake that is the z270 chipset. I'm not sure which Mobo to go for, if you have some ideas I would really like to hear them. I am looking for a cheap z270.
Meanwhile the price of a i3 6300 had dropped, and is about as expensive as the 7100, is the 6300 better?
(Side question: can you put Skylake in a z270 board?)
The rest of the build:
Case: aerocool aero 800
Ram: crucial ballistix 8 GB (BLT2C4G4D30AETA)
SSD: SanDisk SSD plus 240 GB
HDD: WD blue 1 TB
Mobo: ?
Gpu: probably the GTX 970, but I'm buying it later
PSU: bequiet system power 8 500w
Monitor benq gw2470H

What are your thoughts?

And I stand corrected, the 3200 would not get past 2400 MHz with the H270. Changed to a Z270.

For processing power the 7100 and 6300 are about the same but the integrated graphics on the 7100 are better. Worth the money if you are going to use integrated for a while.

The memory is more of a function of the CPU and not the mobo (as long as they are supported). I would just opt for an H270 mobo, the Z270 is only needed for heavy gaming/overclocking. It will support both Sky Lake and Kaby Lake processors.
