After my previous build idea I have tweaked it. This is for LIGHT video editing, SOME photoshop, and little gaming (league). Any recommendations, criticism, and opinions are greatly appreciated.

CPU: i7 5820K 6 Core LGA 2011
GPU: Asus Radeon R9 270x
MB: Asus X99 A-ATX
RAM: A-Data XPG Z1 8gb DDR4-2133
HDD: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM
SSD: A-Data XPG SX900 128gb
Case: Corsair 230t
Heatsink: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3
PSU: Corsair CX 500w

I would personally get a i7 4790k with a z97 motherboard as there is little benefit to ddr4 atm and the i7 4790k is excellent for oc, gaming, editing. The 2 cores on the 5820k don't help that much as of right now. I will be building a z97 with i7 4790k and I was thinking about the 5820k like you but then I thought it isn't worth it as it costs quite a bit more.

Cpu: I7 4790k
Gpu: r9 290
MB: Asus rog hero VII
Ram: G skill 8gb ddr3
Hdd: same
SSD: Samsung 120gb ssd
Case: Corsair obsidian 750d
Cpu fan: Corsair h105
Psu: Evga 750 watt

Honestly for light video editing, a bit of photoshop and playing LoL, that build is a bit overkill, you could even get by with a decent build for $850 which would suit your purposes and save a lot of money that way:
