The build is pretty well complete, just looking for some second opinions. It's the best I could do for roughly $600, I can't go any higher than that, I'm on a tightttt budget. I'm going to be gaming, most likely Diablo 3 and other MMORPG's, no fps games.
Question: Would a USB wireless internet compatible with Windows 7, work with windows 8?

Hey,

Can you please fill out this form:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261222-31-build-advice

It'll help us decide whether or not there are better parts for your specific usage while taking in consideration your personal preferences.

(For lazy people like me) For now, you have:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Motherboard: ASUS M4A87TD/USB3
RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline Stiletto 4GB 2X2GB PC3-10666 DDR3-1333 9-9-9-24
PSU: Antec Neo Eco 450C
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6770
Optical drive
Case: Zalman Z9 Plus ATX Mid Tower

To answer your question, a WiFi thumb drive certified for Windows 7 (x86 and x64) will probably work with windows 8.

I'll wait til you fill out the form before making a suggestion. :)

Well, I thought that too. Until I made this topic : http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/331473-28-good-radeon-6770

All those guys are saying I should be fine with the 450 psu. If there's no need for any more than that, I'll keep it.

and @Quicksand10

I'm not really sure what you want me to do.

I am assuming you are planning to use W8 preview to avoid the cost of an OS? If so you are going to be sad panda and likely won't find drivers for most of your hardware and will have a problem trying to run many types of software (including games) in it's current state.

You can get a 6790 for a hair cheaper: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=60185&vpn=AX6790%201GBD5%2DDH&manufacture=PowerColor

Personally I would go with an i3 set-up and then continue to save for an IB CPU future upgrade, but your AMD set-up will certainly be fine for D3 and current MMORPG's, however as much as it pains me to say it, you would have a better upgrade path (performance wise) going the Intel route.

The PSU may be fine but what he is saying is that if you have future plans to upgrade or overclock you will have limited ability to do so.

I don't have any plans any time soon to upgrade or overclock. No need to for me really. And If I were to upgrade down the road (don't get me wrong I will sometime) I will upgrade the power supply as well.

But this is a budget PC, and if these parts will do the job, I'm happy. Diablo 3 was my motivation for doing this... It's not like i'm going to be playing Battlefield, Crysis, etc. (you get the point).

And at the moment, my laptop can't even open Diablo 3 let alone run it (tried with the beta). So yeah that's where I'm coming from. I don't need a beast of all machines.

If you upgrade later and buy another PSU, it's a "buy cheap, buy twice" decision...

The parts you chose will probably do the job, but when we know your intentions we'll be able to decide what's best...

Well the video card is pretty weak compared to the rest of the system, so already leaving yourself with no upgrade path psu wise wouldn't be a good idea. A 6770 is roughly as fast as a 5770, which is quite a bit slower than my 4yr old 5850 at stock speeds.

What if you decide you need a better video card, which I think you will, then your gonna have to buy a new psu again. But hey, I understand your on a budget so go with what you can afford.

Like the posters before me, and for approximately the same reasons, I would have to suggest a better PSU...

In the same price range:
XFX 650W PRO650W Core Edition Single Rail ATX 12V 53A 24PIN ATX Power Supply 80PLUS Bronze PSU ~49$ after rebates.

Also, I hate myself for saying this, but if you're on a strict budget and you don't really need upgradability, you don't really need a full-ATX motherboard, and thus you can save money by going with a smaller case and a microATX motherboard...

Just a thought...

Put's me in an awkward position...

Actually, I need to do before rebates. Anyhow... what about that motherboard? Updated my post. Garbage?

I am sorry... I just happen to be on a tight budget.

I'm just asking if that motherboard will do? You guys know a lot more than I do. Do you mind helping me choose another motherboard if that one is absolutely no good?
I don't plan on playing with my BIOS.

How's this one ? It's a little better. http://ncix.com/products/?sku=65826&vpn=A880GU3&manufacture=BIOSTAR

Is it terrible that it's not USB3.0?

Also, I switched my PSU to the one you suggested, due to the fact that I got rid of that $100 ATX Mobo. Could I even drop lower to the XFX 550W, or stick with the 650W?

I try to stay away from Newegg. Example, that XFX 650W PSU that Quicksand10 suggested is 60 bucks on NCIX, is 100 dollars on Newegg.ca, and has 15 dollar shipping on it.

Newegg's shipping is terrible. I live in Toronto, and there's MANY NCIX warehouses around here.

This Is $651.89 before taxes

I like AMD just for the price, and overall they are best bang for the buck and also all their MB can use pretty much any CPU besides the APU but that's just me. It's all depends on pricing, what kind of games, and budget.
