Ok, so I'm going to be building my first PC (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Xp2q7P) this holiday season.I've done a load of research and realized this is the best build for the money, but I'm anxious that PC gaming won't meet the hype that everyone on the internet seems to speak about. So will my PC be good and will it be able to do Med/High 1080p 60FPS? Also why should I get a PC over a next-gen console? Thanks.

Solution
Choose a pc over next gen console...
A cosole will get old in 1-2 years, but a pc will run better even after 3-4 years.
Thats a gud build u hv selected.
Still i will recomment 2 changes-
1. Go with Sapphire Toxic r9 270x instead of gigabyte. But first make sure ur cabinet stpports a 12 inch gpu.
2. Go with a little better cooler since that is hot chip. Although u'l b fine with it.
Gud luck.

This would give you a better upgrade path and perform better than the FX 6300. FX 6300 needs to be overclocked, to compete with i3, and that board you selected isn't safe to overclock with. PC can be upgraded, and PC games tend to be cheaper, thanks to Steam sales.

PCs are also easily upgradeable whereas consoles aren't unless you buy a new one lol.
