Question My build is underperforming significantly.

No stranger to PC builds, but this is mighty strange.

I decided to get a 1440P ultrawide. Seemed like a good investment considering my specs: r7 3700X @4.4G all cores, 16GB of 3200Mhz CL16, RTX2080, all water cooled.

Long and short, the FPS numbers I am getting are dismal. I am not even breaking 60FPS in war thunder. People with RTX2060s are recording FPS well into the 140+ range at normal 1440P (not ultrawide).

Battlefront 2? I can't break 60FPS either. The bloody menu screens lag. Feels like I'm playing on a freaking potato. I can provide more figures if you like, but all of these seem insanely low. Halp?

What speed (GHz) is the cpu at when gaming?

Thanks for the reply! I believe I figured it out. After a support session with Samsung (the maker of my display), they deduced that I needed to use the 2nd HDMI port and that my stuttering issues were related to the controller (HDMI 1.4 I think) on port 1. Things cleared up after that and the display ran at 75Hz too.
