$210 is a terrible price for a GTX960. The R9 380 is better and cheaper. You could probably get an even more powerful R9 380x for $210.

That is not a very good psu. Not very reliable.

Scrap the ssd so you can spend more money on the psu and possibly video card.

This would be much better for cheaper.

Admirable
This is what I'd go with, it has better quality parts for the SSD and PSU, and those games will run just fine on the i3

Psu wattage and efficiency rating has nothing to do with build quality or reliability. That particular EVGA 500w psu is not very reliable. The XFX I selected is an extremely reliable unit that would last years.

The i5 4460 is better than the i3 6100, but the i3 is not as bad as people seem to think.

Yes but think about the future if its a budget gaming rig then it wont last over a year almost and then he will have to buy another cpu that will work with it, if hes fine with the extra money being spent later because he doesnt have it now then yes its fine but the two cores would not run it on very high settings at all from what ive read and heard

shit i didn't look at the number of that i3 thats a skylake one isnt it?.....probably should have read that, if you do the i3 however you will n eed the after market cooler(about 20$) and they are a lot better so you could go for either really the stock coolers will still do fine tho
