Here is my build I am going to do, really my first higher performing rig. It is mostly gaming for me and for my GF photo edit/surfing(ips monitor)

In future I plan to over clock it, so I may wait to get a cooler, but I wanted something quiet....but it might not matter if other fans in the case/gpu are louder.

I still have to get a GPU, but waiting to see if any prices get better. 970 or 290

Wasn't sure on the SSD...the Vector 150 or the Samsung evo.

Don't need a lot of storage as I have an external raid, so went with the 1 tb seagate 7200.

General thoughts? I tried to buy the best performance versus the dollar. I think I did decent. I know there may be one or things that might get 10-20$ cheaper over the holiday, but I felt I hit the lows for most of the products.

ThankYou.

That SSD is good, thanks. Seems the best value/performance, I think I will get that.

I almost went with that RAM...I just hadn't read much on AMD Ram....so it steered me away from that and went with the Corsair.

I was able to get the ASUS monitor for almost the same price as the LG - 5$ more. My GF was partial to it...
