is this a good build???
i5 2500k processor- Ok
asus maximum IV extreme - Ok
1000 watt extreme gaming atx power supply- 1000 Watts is probably overkill. A good quality 850 Watt would be more than enough.
corsair h100 cpu liquid cooling system- IMO water kits are a waste of money. I would just do a custom water loop
sata 2tb hard drive- A 2 TB HDD is again probably going to be overkill. I have I don't know how many games installed on a 1 TB HDD and it's no where near full.
AMD radeon hd 6950 video card- Thats good but if you cut out some of the things I mentioned as overkill you can probably up that to a 6970.
sony 24x multi optical drive-
kingston 8g RAM memory-
cm storm trooper series...

The above is my worrying point for this build, ask for exactly what make of PSU it is this is very very important, also scrap the Killer card there an expensive gimmick and don't actually work.

Everything else looks ok but I wouldn't spend the money on a network card or sound card. The onboard sound card and NIC are really good enough

I am thinking the same thing, but then again I am not a fully functional person
