Ok so i got my total build going, i'm planning on building it say 2-3 months. so here is my build so far (also i will be playing game like WoW bf3 fallout ect. so here my build 😛: graphics card: gtx 680(should i get 2gb or gb?):cpu: intel core i7 quad core 3770k: psu:CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W:motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard:Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM:ram:Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin:case:COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced. so that's it sorry if its kinda of a wall of text, also if there is another part i should get instead let me know, thanks austin.

would get gtx670 or amd 7970 not worth the extra for a gtx680 as its barely faster for quite a bit more money

for gaming a 3570k is the choice not 3770k

850w is far more than needed

should use the saved money by not getting a gtx680 and 3770k towards an ssd

think thats all--i have trouble reading a wall of text--thats why i have to space my typing out

^Actually the cards really depend on the many different variations of the board partners. There are GTX680's out there that perform vastly different depending on the clocks and VRAM that manufacturers supply. The prices also vary as so.

A perfectly stock 660 Ti will max out just about any game at 1080P easily. If you want to be very safe for a while, a performance edition of the 660 Ti or a 670 will pound on any game no problem.

Also, back down from a 3770k, overkill for gaming. Get higher quality ram instead if you can. Lower latency and higher frequency or an SSD. Your SSD won't affect gaming performance, but your overall system performance will rock your world.

i was thinking a evga gtx 680 but im pretty rock solid on a 680 😛, but i will go with a 3570k instead of the 3770K, and i will get like a 128gb ssd?, and some better ram if you could recommend some that would be great thanks 😀

That ram will do nicely, it takes a fair bit to max out 8gb.

A factory overclocked 670 will be only slightly less than a reference 680. Something like a MSI Power Edition 670 or ASUS TOP 670 will save you $100.

+1 to a 3570k and a SSD boot drive, 128gb will be enough.

The savings of making a nicely balanced system, you should be able to get a really nice case and a decent CPU cooler.

Honestly, a 680 is just overkill for 1080P if that is what you are playing at. For 2560x1600, then I would get a 680.

Resolution means a great deal. 2560x1600 is close to double the pixels to process as 1920x1080.

Get a tweak 660, 660 Ti or 670 and save that money to upgrade sooner on another video card.

My advice only applies if money is a constraint. If it isn't then disregard everything I said and get the GTX 680.

Regarding the SSD. If you can, get 256GB or around that range so you can install all of your games on it on top of the OS. Yes, games will run fine from an HDD, but when your games open up and load as fast as you can blink, its really REALLY nice.
