my case has 3 rgb fans but my mobo asus rog strix z730-f only has 2 chassis fan headers

what can i do, i do not want to return anything and preferably not buy any fan splitters

That's like having 6 people, but a car that seats 5.
You don't want to pay for a bus/taxi for the extra, nor do you want to get a new car to accommodate.

That person gets left behind (ie you don't use that fan).


Considering two of those fans are probably paired together as (front?) intakes, a splitter is exactly what you need here.
And they cost only a few $/Pounds/Euro.

the fans has a 3pin powerpin or something like that, and there is three front fans. that means that i have to get a 3 pin 3way splitter to get every fan to work? and i plug that into one of the chassis fan headers?

If you have 3x fans, total, and two headers - you only need a 2way splitter. Then run one direct to the motherboard.

Which case are you working with? How many fans do you have, total?

corsair crystal 460x rgb 3 fans only and the cpu cooler but that has its own header

im thinking about installing a fourth fan at a later date therfore i wanted 1 header available, but it doesnt really matter

You could pick up 2x Two-way splitters. You only *need* one right now, but then you'd have 4 available headers if you wanted to add that 4th fan in future.
