So earlier today I was gaming when my cat jumped from behind my PC. On his way his foot caught the HDMI cable from my video card, which in turn disconnected it. The little bastard pulled it so hard that as the HDMI cable came out, it pulled the metal covering off the HDMI pins. So, I grabbed a new HDMI cable and now....nothing. Blank screen. Everything works fine if I put the HDMI into my motherboard's back panel, and screen shows image. But, it does not work with my video card. The video card itself is running; fans are turning and the power lights from the card are lighting up....just no image is coming up on my TV now. I checked the back of the video card and it seems intact, I don't see any pins or anything stuck in the video card's HDMI output.
So, I'm not really sure what happened, other than maybe just some of the internals are outta whack since the HDMI cable was yanked out. Anyway, my video card is an ASUS Radeon R9 290X. Any feedback would be golden!
