I'm not that familiar with chipset - Northbridge, Southbridge - temperatures, but I opened up my case a little bit ago to check on airflow. I felt the heat pipe fins on my MSI P6N Platinum and they were so hot I almost burnt my fingers! Maybe not burnt, but to give you an idea of the heat, you couldn't keep touching it if you were told to.

Normal? I don't know. Thanks for the help.

It's happened to me before but on a very old system.

If you're worried about the temperature of your system or CPU, you can use a software utility to measure it and get a numerical reading.

get a small 40mm fan and attach it to the chipset, even the smallest amount of airflow can make a huge difference, a 120mm fam will make the temps go from like 60oC to ambient, a 80 will make em go from 60 to about 5 aboev ambient a 40 will make them go from60 to about 15 above ambient (assuming ambient of ~20) all temperatures in oC, no responsability will be taken for actions that cause any damage implyed from this post.

I added a 40mm fan to my 680i northbridge and the difference was night and day. They are designed to run at those temps but if your concerned adding a small fan will make a big difference.
