I was trying to take the CMOS battery out and the side opposite to the pins lifted. there is still contact with the board. should I worry? the CMOS battery was dead by the time this happened so i dont know if it effected the computer at all.
If you don't have experience in soldering, then I would advise you not to try soldering it back since it isn't easy for beginners. Instead get a certified electronics shop to do the job, or get help from someone who is experienced in soldering.

It could cause you to loose your BIOS settings randomly. I would get the solder-gun and fix the pin.
