Hello,
This is my first time posting to these forums so go easy on me!
So to begin the story, I have been wanting to build a custom Mid-Range Gaming PC for some time but just recently took the plunge since my trusty HP Laptop seems to be edging closer and closer to an early grave. So garnering up the courage I bought the components and with almost no issues whatsoever I was able to build my first computer in about 4 hours (yes I am slow).
I have to say I am loving everything about my new build........except for the noise that is. I have 4 fans including the CPU fan in my build with
1 120mm fan in the front sucking cold air in
1 80mm fan in the back top blowing air out
1 Cooler Master Hyper TX3 that I purchased for the CPU (one of the noisier ones)
1 120mm Blue LED Fans that I added on the side of the case that is sucking air in. This seems to be one of the greatest noise makers. Oddly enough if I put this one blowing air out it decreases the noise by about a third but at that point I would assume that I am just taking precious cold air away from my GPU.
Here are the images of my setup (sorry for the quality, my iPhone doesn't take the best low light pics.)
Here is the data I am getting from CPUID Hardware monitor
I doubt this would have anything to do with it but when I was building the computer I had to reseat the Cooler Master CPU fan because it was loose (the most unintuitive way to install a fan that I have ever seen) and I forgot to plug it back in so when I powered up my PC and had it on for about an hour downloading programs, drivers & whatnot, it shut off all the sudden (from the heat on the CPU I assume) at which point I opened it up and realized my mistake.
I would greatly appreciate any help as I am about to go crazy
from all of the noise this thing generates. I can literally hear it from the other room.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. here is my build if you think that would help any
CPU: AMD FX-6300
GPU: GeForce GTX 750Ti
Mobo: MSI 760GMA-P34 (FX)
PSU: Evga 500W 80PLUS
RAM: Crucial Sport 8GB Kit
HDD: 1TB Western Digital Blue Sata 6Gb/s
SSD: 128GB PNY Optima (I have this set as my boot drive and it blazing fast!)
Optical: Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA (I know nobody uses optical drives anymore but I still have the Adobe CS4 Collection on disk)
