My computer came with a nvidiaGe Force6150se but my system shows a nForce 430

keep getting display error input out of range change settings to 1680x1080 60Hz but none of the selections offer that setting. Display doesn't look normal I have a HPw2007 monitor and an HP Pavilion a6407c PC.running windows home premium vista. i tried connecting my other much smaller flat screen monitor so that I could try and fix the problem. I uninstalled one video driver and I fear that the one that my computer installed was the one for the smaller monitor. But even before that problem I had the monitor error and it go to sleep. Please help

First off the 6150se is a part of the nforce 430 chipset. so that is not the issue.

If you can, have you tried both the VGA and DVI to see if one works better.

Strange that it would go out of spec at 1680x1050 @ 60 since that is exactly what it should like to see.

actually i only have a VGA which worked fine all this time before this message. should I try the vga from my other monitor?

If you do not have the recommended resolution, you can add it from the Nvidia Control panel.
