My computer cant boot from cd why?

hi..?
why my computer can not first boot the dvd and if i first boot the dvd and I save the settings its not working to reformat if I check the bios setup and see the boot menu the first boot become floppy disk f so its not working to first bot the dvd just like always resetting the bios setup.
how can i slove..
plss help me

Are you sure that the CD/DVD is a booteable drive?
