My computer cant find my network

ok so I just got a new isp. I finally got the router and everything, but when I plug it in my computer with the ethernet cable, my pc doesnt find it for some reason. The lights on the router are showing fine, and I can connect it to my laptop with the ethernet cable and trough wifi and the internet works just fine. This leads me to believe that something is wrong with my pc. If there is anything you can help me with I would really appreciate it, since I really dont even know where to start. Thanks

oh, my router is called TP-link td854w. And its an adsl connection

Make sure you have the latest LAN drivers from your motherboard manufacturer.

Do you have DHCP turned on in router?

check the Device Manager to see if there is a driver issue or if any thing is listed under Other Devices.
