Hello there,
I've just bought new computer and unfortunately I have problem in displaying the computer on my TV.
In my old PC I did that easily and never had issues with that, but for some reason in my new computer it doesn't work.
I can't realize where is the problem comming from since everything is really ok.

  • ■ HDMI cable is 100% working
    ■ Computer has the most updated drivers
    ■ TV is working of course because the old PC had never issues with it
So really, I can not find out the problem, do you think it is a physic problem in the computer?

Things I saw in other topics and I tried them out with no success:

  • ■ Removing Intel(R) HD Graphics 640 from the Device Mananger, rebooting the computer and letting the windows install the newest drivers automatic.
    ■ Downloading newest display graphics from Intel website and installing the manually after removing the current driver I have.
    ■ Disable and enable the Intel(R) HD Graphics 640 Driver.
    ■ Clicking the Identify and Detect button.
    ■ Disconnecting DVI and leaving HTML connection only then reboot ( Still no signal ).

Here are some screenshots of things that might help you to decide what the problem is.

Solution
I'm not suggesting it as a solution!

I'm trying to help you figure out where the problem lies. If you tried what I suggested ... and the tv could use the tv as a monitor .... you would then know that there is a problem with your hdmi circuit. On the other hand, if you tried it and it couldn't use your TV as a monitor with the dvi cable ... you would know there is something about that tv that the computer can't deal with. I personally think that what be useful information to fix the problem - don't you?
'Disconnecting DVI and leaving HTML connection only then reboot ( Still no signal )"

i'm thinking you mean ... leaving HDMI connection only etc ..... Yes?

OK ... is that DVI you are disconnecting feeding your monitor? Yes? If so ... here is what I would try (assuming no DVI input on your tv)... I would beg, borrow or steal (shouldn't be too expensive to buy) one of those cable adapters (dvi to hdmi) ... disconnect the dvi from your monitor .... attach the adapter to the dvi cable .... plug it into the tv. Disconnect the the hdmi cable from the the computer. Boot up the computer with the tv turned on .... does the computer now use the tv as a monitor?

Thinking about that adapter .... pay attention to the hdmi portion of it ... some will have a male connector (a plug) and others will have a female connector (a socket). You want the male one so you can plug it directly into your tv. For this part of 'the test' we really do NOT want to use your hdmi cable and if the adapter had a female hdmi ... you would have to.

Needless to say .... the DVI side of the adapter has be such that monitor end of your cable - plugs right into it ... so pay attention to that too.

I need an HDMI quality. Cable of HDMI + dvi is not a good solution.
Also, it was working in my old pc which was really bad, I don't see any reason for why it should not work on the new one.
( With HDMI cable both sides of course )
