My computer does weird stuff when booting.

It's been happening quite a lot lately.

When I try to turn on my computer, all the fans start to blow like crazy non stop, the computer doesn't boot, just a black screen.
I have to hold down the power button to shut it down.
The only thing I realised to make it boot is to remove the 20 pin power connector from the motherboard, plug it in and try again.


Any chance anybody knows something about this??

I'd start with the PSU - maybe try to borrow a good one from a friend.

^+1 PSU. An undersized or failing PSU can easily do what you're describing, and so can a short or bad ground.

Yeah, pulling out the 20 pin helps it start up.

Yes I have the speaker, and it does not beep when this happens.

Not quite sure if removing things help, unless its a PSU problem too low watts?

That runs in a 550 Watt PSU Corsair ..

You are running that PSU at 90~95%; the real use is 480W~520W. Running at that level your PSU will last less than a year, and spikes will shutdown your rig. Ideally, you want the PSU to run 50~65%. And if you're OC both the CPU and GPU I would look at a 750W PSU.

Keep in mind as PSU age the capacitor loose their initial wattage capacity, so if this PSU is old already then you're asking for damaged components: CPU, MOBO, GPU - anything that's attached to the PSU.
