Hello everybody,

This is my first forum so I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right place. As you can see my computer will not boot up and the motherboard light is on. It can boot up normally sometime but most of the time I am having to deal with this issue. There is also the fact that it will just randomly shut off. When I leave it unplugged overnight it boots up just fine the next morning but then it will randomly shut off around 7-9 pm. It will randomly shut down when I am gaming. I took it to a computer repair shop and they said that they didn't find anything wrong with it and it booted up just fine and I went home and it booted up just fine for a week, but then it started to do the something where the motherboard light would turn on but my computer just would not boot up. I don't know what I need to do. I am not sure if this is a motherboard issue or a PSU issue. I don't know if it just my surge protector but when I plug it into other outlet in my house it doesn't boot up. Should I buy a new motherboard or PSU? (P.S I also don't have any computer knowledge so explaining things that aren't too complicated for a complete noob like me will be appreciated!)

to have a look what the problem could be:
run userbenchmark.com and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730

Reset the BIOS by jumper clrCMOS or JBAT or similar (eventually you will have to set the boot priority correctly after that)

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

run the RAM @2133MHz to check if it happens then too

check the hard drives for errors with the manufacturer´s tools

replace the CMOS battery
replace the power supply
