So i just finished my build a few weeks ago and booted up my PC only to find that my headphone jacks and any kind of audio output doesn't work. So I try connecting my TV to my computer through an HDMI cable and the speakers on the TV works. The only issue is that The audio isn't fixed on my PC. I cant use my speakers (connected to my PC) unless it is put into my TV, this is pretty inconvenient since the headphone jack on my TV doesn't support a microphone for when I'm trying to talk using Team-speak or Discord.

Does anyone know why my audio isn't working through my PC?

My build consists of :

Motherboard : Gigabyte - GA-970A-DS3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Graphics card : gigabyte geforce GTX 1050 Ti
processor : AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-core Processor
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Thanks.

What's happening is your sound is going through hdmi, reason your TV gets sound. You need to go to playback devices and enable your system speakers(usually realtek audio) your headphones should work in pc inputs, after you make this change
