My computer doesn't respond when I plug in a USB flash disc, what's wrong?

Sometimes when I plug in a USB flash disc on my computer, it just didn't show anything of my drive. Does that mean my computer can't read my drive or something else? BTW, my USB flash drive works normally in my office computer.

Try adding a drive letter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/change-add-remove-drive-letter#1TC=windows-7

Have u tried any other flash drive, if its not recognising any sounds like a driver issue, have u tried updating Mb drivers, or checkl device manager to see if its showing up.
