So i just got some new pc parts in the mail today and put them into my computer but for some reason the computer turns on but nothing shows up.
Before upgrade:
NOTE: the mother board is socket am2.
AMD Athlon ii 170u
Nvidia Nforce 6150se with geforce 410 intergrated graphics
3gb ddr2 ram
After Upgrade:
AMD Athlon ii x2 240 2.8ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6450
I need to know why nothing shows up on screen when i applied the upgrade.

Your only real option would be to have someone else test the 'new' GPU in another rig...; if it does not work elsewhere, the GPU will be confirmed the cause, and all troubleshooting is over. (People get bad parts every day, and with e-bay, also get bad parts twice on Sunday from folks selling their bad parts.)

(Are we sure your existing PSU is adequate for supporting the replacement GPU?)

It maybe due to nvidia integrated graphics
And the new gpu being Amd.

Need to get the drivers out for the nvidia and the hd 6450 drivers in.

Dont know if ddu=display driver uninstaller will work on igpu while system is up and needing graphics but if so uninstall and shut down replace cpu and install hd 6450 then reboot and run driver disk or net downloaded for the gpu.

You would think you would get to bios at least.
