So I just bought a new stick of ram, and I install it to my computer, but it not boot and it’s making a continuous short beep, according to gigabyte site (I’m using a gigabyte mobo), it’s said that I’m having a PSU error. But if I use my old ram stick it’s boot just fine. How can I solve this problem?
My computer specs:
Mobo: ga-ep43t-ul3l
CPU: core 2 quad q9550 (overclocked)
Old ram: 4gb ddr3 1600mhz
New ram: also 4gb ddr3 1600mhz
VGA: nvidia gt210 1gb
PSU: colorsit 450w model up-300atx (?)

Changing or adding new RAM ? If changing, why ?
In either case, reset CMOS .

both rams should have some name or part numbers, post those
which ram slots are you using? green or red ones?
My mobo’s ram slot color is actually blue and white, I’m currently using white one
And my old ram is from sk hynix, but the new ram is having a cooler on it, and I can’t see any number from it.
