My computer is dead need help

My keyboard and mouse went dead but usb is working for headset and so is my wifi stick so they have power, and the monitor wont pic up a signal, Im guessing something has died but not sure what part or how to fix as I cant got onto the computer.
Msi h170 gaming board
I5 processor
One stick of ram (had two but one recently died )
Gtx 1060
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmm, I am suspicious of your power supply. Can you list the make and model of it?

Which slot is the remaining memory stick installed in? Unplug all peripherals and try booting the pc with only the monitor connected.

The psu is corsair cx 500.how it happened was I went into a game and the keyboard and mouse went dead so I manually rebooted the pc and the then monitor wont pick up the pc...this pc is about a year old with no past problems apart from the ram

I changed the ram slot....it was in the last slot and now is in the second slot...and computer is now working with keyboard and mouse and monitor, thanks for your help,

If you look at the motherboard's manual, it will most likely state what dim has to be populated if only using one module.

well this slot has been used with no problems for 6 months so it wasn't a matter of 'looking at the manual' (ether slot can be used)I had the motherboard checked by a pc repair shop and was confirmed that slot was faulty... thanks for advice
