Question My computer is repeatedly crashing in games. Every time its a kernel power system failure, and I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?

More exact info my SSD is a Kingston - A400 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive and my hard drive is a Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive.

PCpartpicker links.

Also I am not sure how much this matters but here are some examples of what games my pc will crash on.

The Hunter Call of the Wild

Roblox
Destiny 2
Subnautica

Star Wars Battlefront(atleast 1 probably 2 as well)

I have it set to auto which is 2667 mhz. Do you know if its possible to return my GPU to Asus for store credit to use to buy another gpu and if so do you think that would fix it?

Also my gpu drivers are at least up to date dont know what other devices have drivers.

As long as your PSU has enough watts to power your graphics card there should not be any problem. Asus recommends a 750w PSU so you are good.

You can try looking in Windows "Event Viewer" to see if you can identify what is causing your PC to crash.

your psu needs to be replaced with a Quality unit. The one you have isn't very good. I would never trust it when it was new.
Get a good SeaSonic 80+ Gold or at least a Bronze

honestly, your psu might blow up, and it might damage lots of other components, so never skimp on a good quality PSU. and never operate a pc with a crappy PSU, in case it blows up, usually takes out mobo, gpu, cpu, etc... don't trust it if it is buzzing

It doesnt feel hot though, and its certified 80+ Gold 850 watts if you have any suggestions id be open to hearing them though. I built tjis pc in like January and it hasnt worked except at 60hz on HDMI since then.

Also seems to be running time spy just fine. Coukd it be a combination of corrupted files due to overheating crashes and overheating? And if so any recommendations for good cases? I have a 40 dollar case witg one exhaust fan right now thats it

if you want to try resetting windows you can certainly try that, but you indicated this as problematic for close to a year now? you can always do a Clean install and see if the issue clears up, but back up all your important data, docs and pics/video that you want to save first.

test your memory with memtest86, test the cpu, gpu, etc.. start ruling out possibilities

but wait for that new PSU

you need to test for a full 4 passes the RAM. nothing less will do. you must return 0 errors total to pass

if you are getting kernal power bsods, it's most like the questionable qaulity psu

How long should i test cpu and GPU?
Also any chance that my ssd is the problem?
I am running mem test 86 now. Is it okay that says my ram is ddr4-3200 even though its running at 2667 on my system?

Also is prime 95 and furmark okay for using to stress test?
