Well to start off i just moved from TX to CA by plane and of course i had to take my desktop with me. I packed it in a suitcase after securing the insides and thus surrounded it with bubble rap.

1 day after i started using it here i noticed that start up would be really slow.
(i wouldn't be able to use the arrow keys to choose if i wanted to start in safe/recovery/normal )

after that sometimes after i turn my PC on, i cant do anything and i usually have Skype load up on start so i know that my PC is on but lately Skype doesn't even load and my task bar is unable to be used. Everything just Freezes! Im still trying to troubleshoot but its really hard when i have 2 leads at the moment. My C drive is about 5 years old at the moment i may think thats why its slower. My other thought is that something went wrong during the flight and that it might be my mobo.

also YouTube has always been loading slow but its kind of irrelevant just looking for an answer on that. i don't know if its just browser settings or something else.

if it turns out to be my drive then im going to happily go buy an SSD and transfer everything there.

Sounds like it's HDD related. Does your computer have any built-in diagnostics utilities (outside of Windows)? That's the quickest way to diagnose a hardware issue. If not, then use a tool like Hyren's Boot CD or a diagnostics tool from your HDD's manufacturer.

As mjmacka said it might be HDD related, could be the drive is busted, could be that some of the files have been corrupted on your PC.
Try running the following command in an Elevated Command prompt (CMD run as admin)
sfc /scannow
And see if it finds/solves any errors.
If that doesn't work you have the following options:
1. Run a diag tool
2. Try a fresh install of windows
3. Buy a new HDD or SSD

EDIT:
I should mention those are your option given that it is a HDD related problem.

As Erik said, it wouldn't hurt to do some regular maintenance tasks too. Run a check disk, scan for malware & viruses, and run a system file integrity test (SFC /Scannow). Between maintenance scans and hardware scans, you should have an answer to why the computer is slow.
